Zurich, Switzerland, October 30, 2019- The ACPV is to hold an open meeting with member clubs in the Slovenian city of Nova Gorica on November 15, allowing for guest clubs and other individuals to attend if they wish.
On the agenda at the meeting there will be discussions about the recent activities of the ACPV along with a full, detailed report on the association’s work over the last six months.
A number of legal representatives will be present at the meeting to discuss the current status of certain CEV regulations which concern clubs, transfers and competitions.
ACPV General Manager, Ivan Miljkovic, said: “We will be holding an open meeting in Nova Gorica, allowing ACPV members and guests to freely attend and put forward their point of view on these important issues in our game.
“The presence of the legal representatives will allow us to have real, productive talks on these subjects. Regulations around competitions and transfers pose some key issues for our members and it will be interesting to see if other clubs outside of the ACPV share these same concerns.”
The existing laws in volleyball on these issues will be cross-referenced and compared with existing rules and regulations in other sports across Europe, which should also prove an intriguing point of discussion for both ACPV member clubs and guests in attendance.
Miljkovic added: “Several ACPV members and an additional number of international clubs playing at professional level have confirmed their presence at the meeting. They have also requested additional details concerning the points for discussion at the meeting in Nova Gorica.
“With such a diverse set of members and guests already set to attend, I believe a very interesting discussion awaits us.”
