How it is in Volleyball now:

  2. 7.2.1. The club team is composed of a group of players affiliated with a National Federation, in order to participate in sanctioned competitions. (FIVB Sports Regulations – Status of Teams, Leagues and Other Organisations – Club Team)

How it is in other Sports:

  1. A professional is a player who has a written employment contract with a club and is paid more than the expenses he effectively incurs in return for his handball activity. It is therefore compulsory to stipulate a written contract between the club and a player. (IHF Player Eligibility Code-Release of Players to National Team)
  2. A professional is a player who has a written contract with a club and is paid more for his footballing activity than the expenses he effectively incurs. All other players are considered to be amateurs. (Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players – Status of players: amateur and professional players)
  3. Respect of contract-A contract between a professional and a club may only be terminated upon expiry of the term of the contract or by mutual agreement. (Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players)
  4. Our Goal:

The Contracts will create an official professional relation between player and club and the clubs will be recognized as business entities (entrepreneurs) and volleyball players will be recognized as an employee with all rights and obligations like any other worker in any country. With these rights and obligations the EU Laws will have to taken in consideration and applied.
